1. Understanding Your Vinyl

Your vinyl comes as 3 layers.
The top layer is the transfer tape (also called application tape) which is transparent and holds your vinyl in the correct place and to aid application.
The middle layer is your vinyl decal which will be visible through the transfer tape.
The bottom layer is the backing paper which has a waxy surface so your vinyl can be removed with ease.
Your vinyl will be delivered in a cardboard tube to prevent damage or creasing during transport.

2. Preparation

Make sure the surface you are going to apply your vinyl to is free from dirt, dust and oily residue as this will affect the quality of adhesion. Make sure any painted surface is free from flaky paint.
Clean the area and make sure it is completely dry before applying your vinyl.
Do not apply your vinyl in extreme hot or cold conditions as adhesive may stick but will lift easily.
If you are applying your vinyl to glass, make sure it is clean and there is no cleaning residue left on the glass as this will affect the quality of adhesion.
Please ensure you do not touch the graphic or adhesive as this will affect the quality of adhesion.

3. Mark

Mark out the area you wish to apply your wall art to. If your design has a straight edge ensure your lines are straight as you will not be able to remove and reapply your wall art without damage to your design.

4. Cut

Lay your graphic on a flat surface and smooth down the transfer tape to remove any creases and to ensure proper adhesion. Cut as close to the graphic to remove excess transfer tape and make the graphic easier to apply.

5. Peel

Peel the transfer tape at a 45 degree angle ensuring the graphic sticks to the transfer tape.

If you have a large vinyl, we advise you to first stick your vinyl in the correct position with masking tape prior to peeling, and starting from one corner, peel slowly and stick as you go along. With large vinyls we advise 2 people to apply the vinyl for best results.

6. Apply

Apply your graphic to the surface at a 45 degree angle ensuring you only touch the top layer (transfer tape).
Carefully smooth down your graphic with your hand or a credit card while applying to remove any air bubbles and ensure a smooth finish.
Move slowly along the length of the decal, rubbing in an up and down direction (top to bottom) on long decals, and moving from one side to the other.
Smooth down the whole graphic to ensure all air is removed working from the middle outwards.
Wait 5 to 10 minutes before carefully peeling away the transfer tape.

Only the vinyl graphic will remain and you will have a stunning wall display!

7. Troubleshooting

Any air bubbles that may have been caused during application can be removed by carefully pricking the bubble with a pin and squeezing the air out.

8. Decal Removal

Begin by heating one corner of the marking with a blow dryer, heat lamp, hot water or heat gun until hot to the touch. Pick up an lift that area you just heated (use a razor only on glass surfaces). Slowly begin pulling back the decal, at less than a 90 degree angle. Continue applying heat to the area just before the area that is being removed.
Once you have removed the marking, check to make sure that all of the adhesive residue has been removed. Remaining residue may be removed by using Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
